As a dancer, choreographer, Singer, Actress and percussionist, she has acquired a vast performing experience and is one of the UK's top African arts practitioners.

Co-founder of award-winning Ekome

National Dance Company, England's pioneer African dance group. Invited as a teacher/performer in throughout Europe, Africa & the Carribean.

Her innumerable records of performances has been with artistes such as Peter Gabriel at WOMAD (World Of Music & Dance), Fela Kuti, Osibisa and the infamous Zairean

guitarist Franco.

Her love for African Play Production Styles will continue to emphasise the strength,

dignity, pride and virtuosity inherent in the

various forms of African arts.

I am a Singer, Mother, Performance Artist and Vocal coach.

I also co-run 'Mama Zell's' Boutique and Cafe. We sell Ital food, beautiful clothing, crafts and crystals. I perform Soul channelled music and songs as 'Creation Sounds.' Music is my heart's speech.

MA’ANKHA BAST


Having discovered a love for writing and words at infancy, Ma'ankha started writing poetry at just 9 years of age. She has since headlined various spoken word events, and has featured alongside artists and creatives for a diverse range of projects; Manorlogz Black History Month for Sky TV, Honouring Maya Angelou at the Catford Theatre and recently alongside comedy Legend Curtis Walker.

Ma'ankhas work reflects her colourful experiences and lessons experienced as a Divinity embracing this Human experience, her work is unapologetically honest, heartfelt and spiritually inspired. Alongside spoken word performance and writing, she is also a qualified Usui Reiki practitioner, aspiring physiotherapist and a devoted mother and wife.
